Founded in 1984 by Engr. Ahmed Khalil — a former Chief Engineer at WAPDA — AK SMARTECH began as a specialist HV substation contractor in Karachi. Over the next four decades, we grew into Pakistan's most comprehensive electrical engineering firm, expanding into solar energy, industrial automation, power distribution, and energy management.
Today, we employ 200+ engineers and technicians operating across all major cities of Pakistan. Our projects span 132kV grid stations, multi-megawatt solar farms, Siemens PLC automation systems, and complete distribution networks — delivered with a zero-LTI safety record.
